Linum

The simple musical notation and synthesizer

Linum is a minimalist musical notation system and accompanying audio synthesizer. Designed to be as simple and compact as possible, the system enables fast drafting of melodies as well as transcription of existing pieces. In its standard configuration, the notes C through B correspond to the integers 1 through 12, while the symbol 0 denotes a rest.
